Alexandre Mateus

After completing his Master’s degree in Management with a specialization in Strategy and Entrepreneurship, Alexandre started his career as a Consultant at EY, where he developed M&A and Valuation projects across various sectors, such as Energy and Agribusiness.

He then embarked on a new challenge as an M&A and Strategic Planning Associate at a Portuguese family group, where he supported several projects for the portfolio companies.
Drawn by his passion for the Energy sector and innovation, Alexandre joined EDP Ventures, the VC arm of the EDP Group. Here he interacted with entrepreneurs, innovation teams and investors from across the world.

In January 2023, driven by his ambition to transform the Energy sector and his love for the Netherlands and poffertjes, Alexandre moved to the Netherlands to join Eneco Ventures and help Eneco and startups accelerate the energy transition.
In his free time, if not playing Futsal, you might find Alexandre exploring new craft beers.
