Sponsoring and education

Sponsorship and education

As part of our social responsibility, we are committed to supporting vulnerable groups in society. That’s why we sponsor various social initiatives and focus on educating young people, especially now.

Energiebank Rotterdam

Eneco sponsors the Energiebank in Rotterdam with energy-saving products such as water-saving shower heads and letterbox brushes. In addition, a number of employees volunteer as energy coaches, including Kevin Priem.

Eneco supports Lichtpuntjes FIXbrigade

Eneco supports partnership Lichtpuntjes FIXbrigade, which aims to tackle energy poverty in the Mariahoeve district of The Hague. In this neighbourhood, relatively many households struggle with high energy costs because their homes are often poorly insulated. The aim of the newly established Lichtpuntjes FIXbrigade is to help at least 250 households in Mariahoeve. The FIXbrigade offers assistance such as draught-proofing the home and installing energy-saving measures. In addition, in cooperation with Energiebank Den Haag, residents are coached in how to reduce their energy consumption and save costs. This reduces costs and improves living comfort.

A work-study program is also being set up, whereby trainees and participants with a distance to the labour market are trained and guided towards paid work or an education.

MAEX

We believe it is important to help combat energy poverty, which is why we work together with MAEX.

This platform provides small, one-time financial donations on behalf of Eneco to social initiatives that are active in providing sustainability advice to households, assisting with the sustainable refurbishment of homes, and promoting energy-saving measures. The focus is on Utrecht and surrounding areas.

Zowiezon®: the push towards solar panels on school roofs

Many schools want to become more sustainable, and one way is by installing solar panels on their roofs. However, many school boards wonder: how do we go about it? Zowiezon gives schools that final push to use their large, empty school roofs for generating renewable energy. With practical support and more.

No new sponsorship activities

Eneco’s sponsorship policy is focused on the aforementioned activities. We are no longer seeking new sponsorship initiatives.
