Joining forces with Borealis
In 2020, Eneco and Borealis signed a ten-year contract to help bring down the plastics manufacturer’s carbon footprint. Borealis wants to meet half of its energy needs from renewable sources by 2030. Since January 2021, Borealis sites are now running on wind power from the SeaMade wind farm in the North Sea. This is the third corporate Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) that Eneco Belgium has signed.
