Working towards climate-neutral shopping
The more than 13,000 solar panels on the roof of bol.'s new fulfilment centre in Waalwijk are helping it become ever more sustainable. By 2025, your shopping at bol. will be climate-neutral with green electricity from Eneco. We have been working with the online retailer since 2017 to make that goal happen. The existing distribution centre was already running entirely on wind power from the adjacent windfarm. And in late 2020, we reached another milestone: with Eneco ZonOpDak solar installations on the roof of the new fulfilment centre, bol. is now generating its own electricity, bringing the goal of 0g of CO₂ emissions per parcel shipped by 2025 much closer.
